The last part of our trip - the huge junk yard of tools used in salvage action.

Hundreds of cars, fire engines, lots of helicopters and airplanes. They all had directly touched the high radiation, that's why they are abandoned.

All those pictures I made from the road along the junk yard. The value shown by Geiger's counter was not too high.


Thousands of soldiers had come here by buses like this.


Departure from closed zone is connected with going through special gates, which are checking the radiation. The measurement wasn't alarming. However we will never know if during this six hours in polluted zone we got one, five or maybe fifteen x-rays. But is it so important? The life would be boring if we did only sensible thigs.
