In May 2005 I set off on trip to Ukraine. Our destiny was Chernobyl and its environs. We crossed the border in Medyka, than arrived to Lviv, than Kiev and finally to Chernobyl.
So, now I'll tell you some details about each place I have visited.
The first day, in Lviv, it was raining. As soon as we crossed the border we appeared in completly different world.

We had few hours to our train's departure to Kiev, so we decided to take a walk around the city and know some of the lviv's narrow and lovely little streets.

Okey, that's enough. 3 hours is definitely not much time to get to know Lviv. What more we had some shopping to do before the next part of our journey.

Off we go to railway station! From Lviv to Kiev there is 600 km so we have spent whole night in train. Ukrainian trains look very old and worn-out, but I can't say anything critical beside that.

Maybe the wagons look like they were from last century, but they are suprisingly very comfortable, safe and punctual. They are clean and in the morning you can have some hot tea from samovar. Moreover it's very cheap cause for 15 euro you can travel around almost whole Ukraine.
